Description
ARA-290 10mg is a 10mg vial of ARA-290, an erythropoietin-derived peptide, supplied by EZ Peptides as freeze-dried powder. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
ARA-290 at a glance
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide based on a region of erythropoietin. It activates the tissue-protective receptor without stimulating red blood cell production.
Araim Pharmaceuticals developed it for small fiber neuropathy.
How ARA-290 acts in the lab
Erythropoietin (EPO) has two jobs. It drives red blood cell production through one receptor, and it protects tissue through another, a complex of the EPO receptor with CD131.
ARA-290 mimics the small part of EPO that binds the tissue-protective receptor and leaves the red blood cell receptor alone. That lets researchers study EPO’s anti-inflammatory and nerve-protective effects without raising hematocrit.

ARA-290 research
In a phase 2 study, Brines and colleagues reported that ARA-290 improved symptoms and corneal nerve fiber density in patients with sarcoidosis-related small fiber neuropathy.
Animal studies looked at nerve and kidney protection.

Reconstituting ARA-290 10mg
Here’s the math for 10mg of peptide:
- 1mL of diluent gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of diluent gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of diluent gives 3.33mg/mL
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Research diluent solution or bacteriostatic water both work. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can shear peptide chains. Skip it.
ARA-290 10mg storage and shelf life
The dry powder keeps best cold: 2 to 8°C in the fridge, or -20°C for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
ARA-290 10mg lab reports
Scroll through the ARA-290 10mg photos and you’ll find one Janoshik Analytical test report. Each one lists the compound found, the measured amount and the HPLC purity, plus the batch number and the date the lab ran it.
ARA-290 10mg is sold at a minimum of 99% purity by HPLC. The reports below show the actual figure for each batch tested.
Every Janoshik report has a unique key printed at the bottom. Enter it at janoshik.com/verify and you’ll see the same report straight from the lab, which is the easiest way to know a COA hasn’t been edited. Match the batch on the report with the batch on your label.
