What is research diluent?

Peptides ship as dry powder because they keep far longer that way. Before you can measure them out, you dissolve them in a sterile liquid, and that liquid is the diluent. It’s also the step where contamination most often gets in, so it pays to use a sealed product made for the job.

How to choose research diluent

The 10mL vial covers one or two peptide vials and is the everyday choice. The 30mL vial is the better buy if you mix often. The 2mL kit gives you a fresh, unopened vial for each reconstitution.

Every product page lists the amount, the format and the SKU, so you can compare like for like before you order.

How a research diluent is used

Draw the volume you need, let it run slowly down the inside of the peptide vial, then swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Each peptide page on our site has a reconstitution section with the concentration for each volume.

Wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab first and write the opening date on the label. Throw out any diluent that looks cloudy or has particles in it.

How do I pick a size?

The 30mL vial costs the least per mL. If you mix one peptide at a time, the 10mL vial or the 2mL kit is the better fit.

Yes. Most products have a 5 pack that saves 5% and a 10 pack that saves 10%. Choose the quantity from the dropdown on the product page.

Do I need anything else?

Only your peptides. The diluent is what you mix them with.
