Description

Our GHK-Cu 50mg vial holds 50mg of lyophilized GHK-Cu, a copper-binding tripeptide. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.

It’s used widely in skin and wound research, and in cosmetic formulas.

GHK-Cu mechanism of action

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

What the research says about GHK-Cu

Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.

Maquart and colleagues reported that GHK-Cu increased collagen in rat wound chambers.

The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search for GHK-Cu studies to start from.

GHK-Cu 50mg lab reports

The GHK-Cu 50mg photo gallery includes one independent test report from Janoshik Analytical, a lab in Prague that a lot of peptide buyers use to check suppliers. Each one lists the compound found, the measured amount and the HPLC purity, plus the batch number and the date the lab ran it.

GHK-Cu 50mg is sold at a minimum of 99% purity by HPLC. The reports below show the actual figure for each batch tested.

Every Janoshik report has a unique key printed at the bottom. Enter it at janoshik.com/verify and you’ll see the same report straight from the lab, which is the easiest way to know a COA hasn’t been edited. Some of these reports may cover a different GHK-Cu size from the same production. The purity figure carries over; the amount line is for the vial the lab measured.

Reconstituting GHK-Cu 50mg

Here’s the math for 50mg of peptide:

  • 2mL of diluent gives 25mg/mL
  • 3mL of diluent gives 16.67mg/mL
  • 5mL of diluent gives 10mg/mL

Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.

Research diluent solution or bacteriostatic water both work. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can shear peptide chains. Skip it.

How to store GHK-Cu 50mg

The dry powder keeps best cold: 2 to 8°C in the fridge, or -20°C for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
