Description
5-Amino-1MQ 50mg tablets from EZ Peptides: a bottle of 25 tablets with 50mg of 5-Amino-1MQ in each, for oral-route research. 5-Amino-1MQ is an NNMT inhibitor. Tablets need no reconstitution. They’re sold for laboratory research only.
What is 5-Amino-1MQ?
5-Amino-1MQ is a small quinolinium molecule that inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme highly expressed in fat tissue.
It’s sold as the iodide salt.
How 5-Amino-1MQ works
NNMT moves a methyl group onto nicotinamide, a form of vitamin B3. Fat cells make a lot of it. Blocking it leaves more nicotinamide available for NAD+ production and changes the cell’s methyl balance.
5-Amino-1MQ is a small, membrane-permeable NNMT inhibitor. In mouse fat cells it raised NAD+ and reduced fat storage, which is why it’s studied in obesity and aging models.

What the research says about 5-Amino-1MQ
Neelakantan and colleagues reported in 2018 that it reduced fat mass and body weight in obese mice.
Later work looked at muscle stem cells in aged mice.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search for 5-Amino-1MQ studies to start from.
Working with 5-Amino-1MQ 50mg tablets
Each bottle has 25 tablets at 50mg, which is 1,250mg of 5-Amino-1MQ in total. Tablets suit oral-route studies, and they skip reconstitution, cold storage and syringes.
Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry cupboard. Tablets don’t need refrigeration.
5-Amino-1MQ 50mg tablets or 5-Amino-1MQ vials?
We also sell 5-Amino-1MQ as a powder vial, 5-Amino-1MQ 50mg. The vial is for injectable-route work and needs a diluent, syringes and a fridge. Tablets are for oral-route studies, and the published data for the two routes aren’t interchangeable, so pick the format that matches your protocol.
5-Amino-1MQ 50mg tablets lab reports
We’ve put the lab paperwork for 5-Amino-1MQ 50mg tablets in the image gallery: one Janoshik Analytical report. Each one lists the compound found, the measured amount and the HPLC purity, plus the batch number and the date the lab ran it.
Every Janoshik report has a unique key printed at the bottom. Enter it at janoshik.com/verify and you’ll see the same report straight from the lab, which is the easiest way to know a COA hasn’t been edited. Match the batch on the report with the batch on your label.
