Description

Research diluent solution 2mL is a kit of ten separate glass vials, each holding 2mL of sterile, laboratory-grade aqueous diluent, for 20mL in total. It’s for labs that would rather open a fresh small vial for every reconstitution than keep one large vial going.
What is a research diluent solution?
Most research peptides ship as lyophilized powder because they keep far longer dry. Lyophilization, or freeze-drying, removes the water at low temperature and pressure so the peptide chain stays intact. Before you can measure them out, they have to be dissolved in a sterile liquid. That liquid is the diluent, and it’s the step where most contamination problems start, so it’s worth using a clean, sealed product made for the job.
Our diluent is a sterile aqueous solution. It’s for research, analytical and sample preparation work only.
Research diluent solution 2mL specifications
- Contents: sterile aqueous diluent, 2mL per vial and 20mL per kit
- Container: 10 glass vials of 2mL each (not a single 20mL container)
- Storage: cool, dry place, out of direct light
- SKU: EZP-DIL-2MLX10
- Use: laboratory research and analytical use only
Why choose 2mL single-use vials?
Every time a stopper is punctured, there’s a small chance of contamination. With research diluent solution 2mL, each reconstitution gets its own sealed vial, so an opened vial never sits in the fridge for weeks waiting for the next draw.
The 2mL size also matches how most peptide vials are mixed. A 5mg or 10mg vial usually takes 1 to 3mL, so one or two small vials cover it. Glass vials keep the liquid away from plastics, which some labs prefer for analytical work.
Research diluent sizes compared
- Research Diluent Solution 10mL: 10mL vial for $15.00
- Research Diluent Solution 30mL: 30mL vial for $35.00
- Research Diluent Solution 2mL x 10 Vials (20mL Kit) (this page): 10 vials of 2mL for $26.00
The 10mL vial is the everyday choice for one or two peptide vials. The 30mL vial is the better buy if you mix often. The 2mL kit gives you a fresh, unopened vial for each reconstitution, which some labs prefer for cleanliness.
Research diluent solution 2mL single, 5 pack and 10 pack prices
Research diluent solution 2mL comes in more than one quantity. Pick the option from the dropdown above the cart button:
- Single kit: $26.00
- 5 pack: 5 kits for

30.00, about $24.70 a kit
- 10 pack: 10 kits for $234.00 instead of $260.00, about $23.40 a kit
The packs are the same kits as the single listing, just priced lower per kit. If you know you’ll go through more than four, the 5 pack already costs less than buying them one by one.
How much research diluent solution 2mL to add
The volume you add to a peptide vial sets the concentration, so pick a number that makes your own math easy. A few examples:
- 5mg peptide vial: 1mL gives 5mg/mL, 2mL gives 2.5mg/mL
- 10mg peptide vial: 1mL gives 10mg/mL, 2mL gives 5mg/mL, 3mL gives 3.33mg/mL
- 30mg peptide vial: 2mL gives 15mg/mL, 3mL gives 10mg/mL
Less liquid means a stronger solution and smaller draws. More liquid means weaker solution and bigger draws, which some labs find easier to measure accurately. Write the concentration and the date on the peptide vial as soon as you’ve mixed it.
Sterile technique, step by step
Work on a clean surface and wash or glove your hands. Use a new sterile syringe for every draw, and never put a used needle back into the diluent vial. Swab the stopper each time before you puncture it. If you’re mixing several peptides on the same day, finish one vial before you open the next so nothing gets mixed up.
How to use research diluent solution 2mL
Wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab. Draw the volume you need, then let it run slowly down the inside of the peptide vial instead of spraying it onto the powder. Roll or swirl gently until it’s clear. Don’t shake it.
Not sure how much to add? Every peptide page on our site has a reconstitution section with the concentration for each volume. Popular vials to pair with it are BPC-157 10mg, EZP-2P 10mg and EZP-3P 6mg.
Check the vial before each use
The liquid should be completely clear with nothing floating in it. If it looks cloudy, has particles, or the stopper is damaged, don’t use it. Write the date on the label the first time you open a vial.
Research diluent solution 2mL FAQ
Is this the same as bacteriostatic water?
It’s a sterile aqueous diluent for the same job, reconstituting lyophilized peptides. The label lists what’s in it, so check that against your protocol if you need a specific preservative.
How long does it last once opened?
Treat an opened vial as good for about 28 days, and mark the date when you first puncture the stopper.
Which peptides can I reconstitute with research diluent solution 2mL?
Most lyophilized peptides, including everything in our research peptides range.
Is it for injection into people?
No. We sell it for laboratory research and analytical use only.
